The Candlelight Hike scheduled for February 13, 2021 has been postponed due to the sub-zero temps expected to continue through the weekend, with the new date now Saturday, February 20, 2021.
Experience the magic of snowshoeing and hiking on candle-lit trails. The trails of Castle Creek Conservancy will be lit with candles for this hike. Participants will be able to explore on this self-guided hike. The hike will start at the Conservancy's entrance on Division Street. Get outside with the entire family and enjoy this enchanting event. Be sure to dress for the weather. Children ages 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Dane County Public Health guidelines were updated effective February 10, 2021 - we have adjusted the number of participants per time slot. If you would like to attend, please sign up for your half hour time slot below. All adults, children and infants must be signed up if they plan to attend. Even though the event is outdoors, we request all participants wear face coverings. Please keep a 6' or more distance from other groups in attendance. Hikers will have a 30 minute time slot to attend. When that time is up, they must leave so the next group can arrive. No cross country skis are allowed on the trails. Snowshoes are allowed but not provided. If you would like to rent a pair from the Village Center, please contact Travis at 850-5992 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note the Village Center has a limited number of adult and youth snowshoes available for rent.
